I haven't posted in a few weeks. I'm never going to get any better at being current or punctual. Lol.

All right, the high points.

I skipped town by myself and played poker in Jacksonville. My other plan was to catch a Suns game. The weather turned awful and the baseball game was canceled. So I got to play more poker... then the lights went out. Luckily the poker room has emergency diesel generators for just such an eventuality. I played in the semi-dark with no air conditioning for a few hours. I cashed out when the generators finally failed. Yay cashing out by candlelight.

My sister Lynda got married last Saturday. Last week was stressful. And full of drama with the newly annexed family. The ceremony was held beside the lake at Laura S. Walker state park, and we managed to narrowly avoid the rain. It started raining about seven seconds after the preacher finished the ceremony. Lol.

More drama on the local poker front. Madison held some sort of absentee ballot and changed the structure of the game. We are now forced to ante on every hand of any stud variation. It's ridiculous, and several players expressed their disappointment in the rule. We even tried to bring it up for another vote but Madison shot it down. I doubt very seriously that I'll play there again under that rule. Oh well. Back to the internet  games...

Or maybe some tennis. I miss playing tennis during the warm months.

Also, Evalon got in another car wreck and fractured a bone in her arm. I believe it's called a radial head fracture. So now she's driving a full size, four wheel drive truck around. Be afraid.

Food news...

I fell off the wagon for a couple days and started eating some meat. Then I had a thoroughly disgusting looking dish called "Tater Tot Casserole." I assumed it would be tots and green beans and onions and cream of potato soup. Nope, it was tots, nasty heavy cheddar cheese and ground cow. I ate a few bites of tots and cheese. Then I tried one bite of the meat and bit into a bone fragment. I still want to throw up just thinking about it. At least I think I'm completely off of animal flesh now.

I just got finished cooking some black beans and rice. I cooked up some onion and garlic in a small pot. Then I added some freshly chopped roma tomato and a can of black beans. I noticed that I had put way too much onion and tomato into the pot, so I went looking for more black beans. I was out, but I found a can of pinto beans. A little bit of veggie stock and spicy peppers later, it was great.

I think that catches us up.

I'm going to jog. Or play Wii.

I love you all.

P.S. I watched the democratic debate last night. I got the feeling that George Stephanopoulos was running the hatchet job on Obama. He was formerly the employee of Hillary's husband. In either case, the dems are running the risk of tearing their eventual winner to ribbons before the general election.
