Saw
The Cat's Meow finally. Kind of a let-down. As fetching as Eddie looked, not a great choice for Charlie Chaplin. And I'm not sure why so many people think Kirsten Dunst is a great actress because every character she's ever played has been essentially identical to the ones before and after it.
Only person worth watching? Joanna Lumley.
Also, I recognized
Ronan Vibert from an episode of "Jeeves & Wooster" I watched not too long ago. Wilmot, the one with the overbearing mother who likes to write about prisons. He was in The Pianist, too, but I really don't remember him in that.
So, yeah. Unless you're a die-hard Joanna Lumley fan who wants to see her being a lofty and elegant columnist in neat 1920s fashion, give the movie a skip and watch something else. Maybe something with the real
Marion or
Charlie in it?
And for some cryptic fun -- Steve Buscemi's sneezes are like a vitamin shot in the arm. I could totally explain but I think I prefer it left like that. ;P
