Don't take your pet to MetVet South!

Feb 05, 2027 19:58

The subject line pretty much sums it up! If you love your pet and want them to be treated by a caring veterinarian and handled lovingly by the receptionist area, then MetVet South is not the place for you!!! I've had 3 horrible experiences there, all of them starting with a bitch of a woman named Megan, who is the receptionist, and ending with me spending 200 dollars to be told there is nothing wrong with my cat, when clearly they are wrong. I am taking Ratso to Greenfield on Wednesday and we'll see if they can tell me what MetVet cannot. For your pets sake and your aggrevations sake, please avoid MetVet south unless they are literally the last place on earth.

P.s. In the event that MetVet is the last place on earth, might I recommend making sure your pet is hungry when he/she gets there so that he/she will go straight for Megan's jugular! Please and Thank you!

In other news, there is no news.

I haven't actually taken the time to post on livejournal in what feels like years and I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I looked at my friends page.  I hope everyone is okay but I imagine I would be informed if someone were not.

Jay started back to school last week, which makes for a busy Poppy, and I've just been trying to remain quiet in the rest of the house while his school work is in progress.  Jay's motivation makes me want to get off my ever increasing fat ass and do something but everything I like to do requires me to be outside and this is not outside weather.  My mom and I are looking into joining a kickball league and I know someone on one in our area so it seems like it may be fun.  Plus said kickball league plays against the league my twin brother and sister-in-law are on and it would be fun to compete against them.

I would also like to join a book club but am not sure of how to go about locating one that would be well suited for me, any suggestions?

Lately I have been looking at pictures of myself from my late teens and early twenties and I can't get over how much weight I've gained since then.  Granted most of my late teens and early twenties I only made enough to pay my bills and there was no money for food after the bills were paid.  That was when I lived off of starbucks pastries and the occasional meal at Aunt Deb's or my moms house.  Now I can afford food and my large belly proves it!  Today I did some sit ups but am looking forward to when I can use the weight bench, right now it's about -5 in the garage.  Also today is Day 1 on the patch and if I can exercise some self control I might actually be able to kick these nasty cancer sticks once and for all.  I've been noticing since my dad died that I buy food that says it's good for your heart but continue to smoke, which is probably the worst thing for my heart.

In addition to Ratso going to Greenfield Veterinary Clinic on Wednesday, Batman will also be accompanying him to have his little nose checked.

Jay and I ate tacos tonite and for the first time ever I ate a taco without sour cream on it because we didn't have any.  It wasn't a horrid experience but next time you better believe that I will have sour cream in da house!

Heroes comes on in about 10 minutes and only Jen knows just how much I hate to miss the opening credits. :)
