What makes this lapras such a convenience, if my asking is not a vex on your nerves to answer.

It's quite large, able to be ridden. It is also very good with ice and snow.

That does indeed sound like a worth while investment. You don't happen to know where one might find one, having just started in New Bark, do you?

Unfortunately I do not, but if I acquire a ditto egg I will be able to breed an egg from my lapras.

You may have a fresh pick of whatever eggs from my assortment that I breed once they are available, if you would like.

That would be absolutely delightful, thank you.

I believe introductions are in order, are they not?
My name is Rose, it's a pleasure.

Ryuzaki, at your service. The feeling is mutual, rest assured.

Very good to know.

If you wouldn't mind, I have a few more questions to ask.

Ask away if you do not mind questions in return. Questions breed answers which breed even more questions, so it's not a far step from your request really.

I would not mind at all.

I am going to assume, because of the mention of breeding, that you are also an associated breeder. Am I correct?

You are correct. I have been assigned the role of breeder while my traveling partners have been assigned the role of trainer.

This is beneficial to me actually as breeders do not have to travel as often. Your 'also' indicates that you are, of course, also a breeder, are you not?

I am. And that is where my inquiry lies.

Is there a point to breeding, beyond the obvious answer of making more Pokemon? Is there a reason as to why we were assigned breeder instead of anything else?

Unfortunately I have not been able to find that answer myself despite asking multiple people.

I have come to the conclusion that perhaps after breeding a specific quota of Pokémon or a specific genetic code of Pokémon they will send us home. Perhaps! It's just a theory.

That's a very sensible conclusion.

I would be interested and willing to help test your theory. If that would not be a problem for you.

That would be very helpful. A friend of mine has told me that Goldenrod City has most items needed to live successfully as a breeder without needing to move from place to place, so I am going to head in that direction.

Another person also told me there is a library in Violet City that has information of abundance about breeding and Pokémon, so that might help too.

I will follow then. As I mentioned, I am in New Bark presently. I've been told it should only take me a week and a half to reach Violet, provided the weather doesn't delay my travels.

Let us hope for the best then. As state before, I am in Cherrygrove. It is a rather nice city, despite the rather simple atmosphere of it.
