[ There is a stone statue of what appears to be an angel somewhere around town. Or in the forest. Or on a roof. The details are unimportant. All that is important is as long as someone is looking at this statue, the person that is this statue cannot move. Liz doesn't understand why, but right now she's really, really wishing this wasn't the ( Read more... )

[Just walking through the plaza here! Aaand stopping. Because that's new.]

Yohoho-? That's odd. I don't recall there being a statue here.

[Just going to keep staring apparaisingly for a bit, even as the pigeons come. ALAS, LIZ.

Skeletons can't blink. 8D]

[ NOOOOOOOOOO! Liz would blink if she could. She can't, so instead she thinks to herself:

The pigeon's coming over. I can see it flapping it's way -- what the hell the blue elf was right, there really is a skeleton with an afro!

... SKELETON KYAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Sadly, due to the fact skeletons cannot blink, Liz does absolutely nothing while freaking out internally and crying, equally internally, at this somewhat frightening specter.

In other news, she's decently sure that isn't a wig.

Oh, and the pigeon lands... on her arm. How... cityscape. ]

[Brook circles around the statue now, so as not to disturb the bird.]

As a musician, I may not be much of an expert on this sort of thing, but I must say that this looks like such excellent craftsmanship! Very life-like. [As if struck with an idea, he turns his head to speak with whoever might be passing by in the plaza.] Yohohoho! Wouldn't it be grand if there were more of these?

[ The bird is quite suddenly not there, as the break in Brook's attention (and the second before the onlooker looks his way, and thus Liz's, activates some new extra sense of hers that lets her know it's okay to move.

Unfortunately, she mostly makes the bird disappear (Liz assumes she moved fast enough to frighten it into flight, missing the lack of beating wings that would have indicated as much) before the new onlooker lays eyes on her.

Being frozen as a statue midway through rubbing invisible things off her arm leaves her in a very different pose than moments before. ]

[The new onlooker doesn't seem nearly as interested in the statue as Brook is... though they have to raise an eyebrow at it's unusual postion. After a moment though they offer a nod and a shrug before continuing on their way.

Brook tsks, turning back.] A pity. Some people really have no appreciation for the finer- ah.

[Pausing. Did it always look like that?]

[ Probably not. That second moment without eyes directly on her has allowed her to move arms yet again, so it looks like she's power-walking in place. ]

[If he had facial expressions, he would look so confused. Actually he probably does manage to look confused, from the way he scratches at his skull and peers at the statue curiously.]

That's... very odd.

[Coming a little closer now, for inspection. 8|a]

[ Wow, she does pick up on that confusion. Sadly, she's about as confused, and freaking out just a bit that A WALKING SKELETON WITH AN AFRO IS GETTING CLOSER!

Of course, nothing happens, but if one could image perceiving emotional state from a Weeping Angel, this one would be trying desperately to weep in actuality.

She has the angel wings, the wings more common to the people held within Luceti, and one of the more awkward poses out of any current work of art decorating the area.

Too bad she was the only one... and alive. LIVING ART! ]
