Babies...ahoy..

Thirty six hours later, the screams of the two babies filled the room and mama finally passed out. Things had gone well, surprisingly for the swanmane. The children were healthy, she was safe and now she was curled up in the bed, watching the basinets from her spot.

House wasn't sure he'd ever been so scared. Even with the infarction once they knew what it was they knew roughly how things would go. Giving birth was very different. He stood in the door way exhausted and relieved eyes moving from her to the babies.

Rose looked up at him and offered a rather tired smile. "You should hold one House."

He gently scooped up his first born daughter,"They're perfect."

"Surprisingly." She noted that she had been worried someone would die - it was very typical for that to happen. So that of course had been the major worry.

He gently kissed the baby putting her back down before picking up her slightly smaller sister. "They did well on their Apgar tests."

"I'm going to pretend I know what those are and just smile while agreeing."

"Babies are tested on breathing, heart beat, skin color, and a couple other things. Most babies score between seven to ten. They're tested more than once and if they score below seven more than once it's a good idea to get them to a doctor,"he stared down at his daughter. "She looks like you."

"Oh, well it's good they passed then." She seemed proud of that at least. "Does she? Great, she's going to be a little heartbreaker."

"She will,"he nodded laying her back down with her sister.

[hatesbeingright]

"I'm so flipping tired." It ALMOST sounded like a whine.

He limped over sitting down next to her,"I'm sure you are."

[hatesbeingright]

"are you happy with them?" She tilted her head a bit.

[onceadoc]

"Of course I am. We make good babies apparently,"he smirked a bit.

[hatesbeingright]

"Yes well, don't plan on having anymore, do you hear me?" Shesmiled a little.

"These two were enough of a surprise."

[hatesbeingright]

"Yes, I'm well aware of that. I've never seen you look so scared in my life."
