Ah, are you sick? I'm sorry to hear that.

Reading your tags - no. No, cats can not take Dayquil. Definitely not. It can cause abdominal pain, lethargy, anemia, hematenesis (bloody vomit) and shock.

I know, I was being polite.

Antibiotics from a vet would probably help, but I've noticed you already ruled that out. So, if you have a humidifier, that might help a bit. It should at least relieve some of the symptoms.

Right.

I'm not taking advice from an 8 year old.

I never said I was a doctor. However, I do know something about taking care of cats.

Did you completely skip my suggestion of using a humidifier?

hates_leeks April 29 2008, 01:31:10 UTC
...I don't have one.

Hmm. Can you turn on the shower? If not, have someone turn on the shower with hot water and close you in the bathroom. The steam should work just as well.

Yeah, it does.

Why should I trust you.

...because I'm trying to help? I know all of this because I have a cat. She's gotten a cold before, and this is what the vet told me to do for her.

And your cat got better and not dead, right?
