Alright so I'm not allowed to talk about the case itself, but that doesn't mean I can't talk about what it means to be on a jury. First of all I think it is our civic duty to do this duty. However there are some problems with this duty that we are required to do. First of all, you don't even know if you get to be on a jury for quite some time. I'm not sure what happens to people that don't get picked for a jury, but those of us that get picked get to sit in the box for hours that first day wondering what the case is going to be. Others I assume get either assigned to another case, or are sent home. Lucky them. I actually wanted to get picked. Being an adult for not that long, I have not had the oppurtunity to serve on a jury. Also being a Poly Sci major, I thought that I should do something that I actually studied about. Your day starts out pretty late. We started at 10:30 AM today. So I just checked my email all morning. Then once you get into the court room you just sit there till noon. Now, that doesn't mean that I did nothing. I payed attention to what went on. Then we have a long lunch. From noon till 1:30. So I decided to come home and make myself a sandwich. I even got to check all my email and watch the news at noon. So afterwards I went back and even then we started late, maybe around 1:45. Then we listened to the case for a couple more hours, got a 15 min break that lasted for 20, then finished around 4:30. Tomorrow I get to start an hour earlier, but I don't mind. I actually want to give this guy my best because I don't want to incarcerate a guy for something that he is innocent of, but the evidence will show that. The trial should go till about Thursday, but who knows. Friday is Selena's party, which I am looking forward to. I haven't been to a party in quite some time. Saturday is the start of the Halo tournament. I wonder how well I will do? Well that is what is going on in my life right now. If there are any typo's that is because I have been drinking and I really don't care. Till next time.
