Okay, here's my list, a small one that includes a couple of characters already named. ^^; Oh well.
Tot from Weiss Kreuz - This is my main one, since I loved her from the moment I first saw her. But then I seemed pretty much alone in that area. I even saw a mailing list devoted to hating her. I think it's because of Weiss Kreuz's -huge- yaoi community and the fact that Tot is Nagi's canon love interest. I'm not anti-yaoi at all, but I don't see the reasoning behind hating Tot b/c of this. I've noticed a few Tot fans surfacing though, yay.
Ayeka from Tenchi Muyo - I like her, and I like the Tenchi/Ayeka pairing. The majority of fans seem to want Ryoko and Tenchi together, and therefore don't like Ayeka. Ryoko's a cool character, and I like her a lot. But Ayeka is just the one I liked from the start.
Asuka Langley Sohryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion - Okay, I might be biased here, b/c I think Asuka is a Goddess. *.* But I think a lot of people judge Asuka harshly from how she acts in the beginning. And then when they find out a few things about her, their mind is already made up and they refuse to change it. She's got spirit, and I love those kinds of characters! Plus she's pitted against Rei, the silent, mysterious, submissive type that's pretty popular. I think most people feel they have to choose one or the other, and can't love both.
Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket - Actually, I haven't seen too much hating on her. But I'm sure it exists, simply b/c so many male characters seem to focus on her.
I think that's it! Funny how hated characters tend to be girls more often than not. ^^; And the biggest haters of them probably are too. Tsk.
