Has anyone put together a list of (often stupid) reasons why people hate your fave characters? Here's one I put together for Steelbeak, from Disney's Darkwing Duck

That's right; even though the writers had to wrestle with the toy company over plot points, and even though the most controversial plot points (ie, Cobra-La) happened well after his introduction, and even though the show changed writers and animators shortly after, the downfall of the original GI Joe series was really brought about solely by Serpentor's existence. He's a great conqueror after all. XD
More nice things I've heard about the Other Cobra Leader:
"His outfit is dumb!" (No arguments there, but is that really a legitimate reason to discount him completely?)
"He's mean to Cobra Commander!" (Y'know, when you start taking score, he's actually less mean to Cobra Commander than a lot of other characters.)
"He orders everybody around!" (And we all know military leaders should NOT do that.)
"He was only created to make Cobra Commander look bad!" (Since Serpentor is brash and heavy-handed, and since he's lost a lot of battles refusing the more experienced, worldly Commander's advice, I can't think of anybody who's done more to make Cobra Commander look good.)
"Serpentor ruined GI Joe!"
