Digimon fans that hate/bash Daisuke do it for one of two reasons:
"He's stupid/immature/a goof-off/dumb! His dream is to own a noodle cart! That's stoopid!" Right. The fact that Daisuke became a successful businessman because of those carts never happened. Never mind that Daisuke was the one who got to use the Digimental of Miracles, was the first to trust Ken. Forget how loyal he was to his friends, willing to surrender himself to the Digimon Kaiser rather than see them (even though he didn't know it was them) be killed. Don't mind the fact that Daisuke was the only one who was unaffected by Belial Vamdemon's illusions and helped break the others out of theirs...oh, wait. He's stupid; he doesn't have any thoughts in his head for Vamdemon to manipulate!
"He has a crush on Hikari! He's interfering with Takari! DAVIS SHOULD DIE!!!!!!1!!!1" Did I just imagine the episodes where Daisuke's crush on Hikari was shifted to the back burner? Or the fact that in the epilogue Hikari was shown as being married to someone who was neither Daisuke OR Takeru?
Of course, it doesn't hurt the hate/bashing when the English writers for the series appeared to dislike Daisuke as much as the bashers do...
