Because he's fat, he's not a superbadass / overpowered like the Raikage or Jiraiya or Madara or whoever, and he cries, pretty much. Mainly the first point. If Chouji was skinny, he would be liked a lot more, given how much fanart there is of skinny!Chouji compared to normal Chouji, and that whenever someone makes a pro-Chouji thread, there's always people going 'fat fuck', 'fat bastard', 'great blubbering vagina', and making jokes about the Akimichi clan all dying of heart attacks or exploding or whatever. Admittedly I was pissed off with how he nearly got himself and his team mates killed, and Asuma, Chouza and Shikamaru were right to be angry, but he got out of it in the end.
I did hate how Sakura was handled in the Kage arc, but then that arc was bad for Team 7 generally and I can understand why she did what she did. I feel like one of the few Sakura fans who DIDN'T start hating her after that arc.
Hinata is the Madonna to Ino and Sakura's Whores, basically. Or sometimes all three of them are Whores. Funny how no-one calls Naruto whore for fancying Sakura or being paired off with loads of characters, male and female.

Well, according to a poll on Narutoforums, Sakura lying to Naruto is worse than Sasuke wanting to commit genocide, which tells you everything you need to know, really.
Yeah, and this is what people don't get - if Chouji and Chouza were thin, they couldn't use their jutsu. They convert calories into chakra, hence the bit where Chouji wolfs crisps and then breaks the kids out of the earth mound. I think Chouji only survived the butterfly incident because he was fat. The poor kid looked emaciated afterwards (and I feel like one of the few Chouji fangirls who doesn't prefer skinny!Chouji to the original), and if he was like, say, Shikamaru, he would have died straight after.
