Dear person who shall not be named,

If the idea of Ghinius getting any kind of love or appreciation is that disgusting to you, please take a good hard look at yourself and your values. Seriously. Yeah you might think he's a howwible worthless monster oh noez, but guess what, not everyone else does and THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. There is no character that deserves no love or fandom in any way, shape, or form, and even if there was, Ghinius sure isn't it.

Also, cut with the bawwwing about because you think Aina had it so much worse than him that he deserves no sympathy for his mental illness. While Aina's life certainly wasn't all rainbows and sunshine, Ghinius was 1. nowhere near the sole cause of her woes and misery and 2. suffering in ways she probably can't even begin to comprehend. Yes, the loved ones of the mentally ill do suffer much grief from it, but to act like their grief and pain is so much more important to acknowledge than the mentally ill person is kind of wrong. Ghinius didn't ask for, cause, or deserve to have abandonment issues to the point where his sister showing the least bit of disinterest in him causes him to snap. He didn't ask to have such a warped and barely-existent concept of self worth that he values a machine over his own life to the point of nearly killing himself for it. True, it doesn't justify his nastier actions, but Ghinius is not a character you can just make black and white condemnations of. Like it or not, because so much of what he does is rooted in severe mental illness that he can't exactly help, you can't just put all the blame for everything bad on him and say he's just evil and horrible and deserves to be ground into the dirt and loathed by everyone.

If you can like Char Aznable and think he's not a complete monster, I can do the same with Ghinius.
