Oh, Vampire Diaries
It really says something when a character who has done nothing and has only appeared in one episode was hated before the episode even aired. Yes, they will be a recurring star, but honestly? What have they done to be hated? I am of course talking about Rose.
Rose is a new vampire in Mystic Falls and apparently has a history with Katherine and was initially going to meet Stefan Salvatore 100 years ago, but didn't because "she likes bad boys". It's since been made known she will be Damon (Stefan's bad boy brother)'s love interest. And cue the insanity.
Since the episode has aired, Rose has been mocked for her "fake accent" (which is the actress's real voice by the way), her resembling Alice Cullen (seriously? Stupid reason to hate someone) and the greatest crime at all; being a threat to Damon and Elena's love!
Seriously, people. We don't even know if Damon will like her back. And if he does, that's fine. He has the right to be with anyone he wants to, Elena's made it pretty clear that it will always be Stefan she likes.
It's possible later on she'll change her mind and they'll be together and have beautiful vampire babies, but Rose isn't the next Katherine.
