I come today in the defense of Gundam 00’s Marie Parfacy. I’ve grown rather annoyed with how ridiculous the bashing can get, so I finally just thought I’d post here. Really, it gets ridiculous how sometimes she is treated as a throwaway character just because she came in at Season 2 and 'supposedly' does nothing. OH GOD, SO TRUE. If Marie is peaceful and gentle and would rather reason than fighting if she can help it, that's NOT a sin dammit.

Soma is awesome, yeah, but it doesn't mean Marie is bad jsut because they're opposites, or better said - complements. What Soma doesn't have, Marie does, and viceversa. WITHOUT MARIE, THERE'S NO SOMA, DAMMIT.

BTW, people. House wife =/= useless, stupid or offensive. To those who say that: you keep using the "feminism" word, but I do NOT think it means what you think it means. =/

That's not so much my point as my point is that Marie isn't just willing to do one thing. Soma is only openly ready to fight- whereas Marie helps in any way she thinks she can. And she doesn't object to fighting or disagree with it, she's completely ready to volunteer in 15 and helps in 17. So. Yeah.
