A Newbie's Intro
Hi!
I stumbled across this comm via yaoi...and I think it's a wonderful idea.
Many MANY charas are either bashed or misrepresented in the fandoms in which I am active. (Mainly Yû Yû Hakusho...although I'm a YGO fan, and X, and...a whole lotta stuff!)

WHOO BOY. Keiko-chan gets bashed a lot, and really she shouldn't. She's just sweet and strong and knows how to take charge of Yûsuke...but without being bitchy. She does have a temper, I'll give her that much, but she's only human.
Ah...Kuwabara-bashing. I *like* Kuwa! He may be ugly and a little slow, but he's got a really good heart...shows in how he interacts with Yukina and his love for kitties!
Mukuro-bashing. The hobby of many a KuraHi fangirl. What I've heard of her, she's a very strong woman who's been through hell and back. And she can FIGHT! (OK, OK, I must admit I've seen all 3 Dark Lords bashed at some point.)
And oddly enough...I have a problem with people who make Kurama a weepy uke just because of his appearance. He's very clever and cunning and strong (he's a yôko, is that not apparent?), and he has been shown on numerous occasions to keep on fighting even after the stakes are piled against him.
Last for this fandom...Karasu. I'm sorry, but he piques my interest. No one seems to find a nice middle ground for him...either he's all evil or he's not a sadist at ALL (due to some Mary Sue's meddling! GRR!). I know many ppl don't like him, but that's because he creeps them out. (He did me too...at first...and then I started squealing like the [D/s oriented] fanboy I am XD.) (OK, you can call me a sicko if you want.)
Other Fandoms
Anzu! I think Anzu is pretty kewl!! A very nice friend when the going gets rough, in addition to being a token "one of the guys", unlike Mai.
Yamucha! Yes, I like Yamucha. I don't understand why ppl have the nerve to make him a rapist or whatever just so Bulma and Vegeta can hook up. He's a nice, normal guy...who used to be afraid of girls. (I like to compare him to Yûsuke from YYH.)
Kamui! He is pretty kewl! Much MUCH stronger than he lets on, and his intents are noble. (Actually most CLAMP charas are awesome.)
Kagome! At first you don't really like her, but she matures greatly throughout the Inu-Yasha series. GO GIRL!
