Buds Grow Up To Be Beautiful Flowers; In Defense of Sakura Haruno
I admit that I used to hate Sakura when she had long hair. In fact, she almost drove me to stop watching Naruto. But after she cut her hair and began to take being a ninja seriously, she blossomed to become quite strong. Unfortanately, first impressions seem to linger on....
In a forum discussing the most annoying anime characters (Anzu and Kagome were also mentioned numerous times), Sakura Haruno before and after the timeskip took a lot of heat. The even scarier thing is that many haters have very easily proven wrong or just stupid reasons:

She's always like:"OMG, Sasuke-kun, don't die! SASUKE-KUN!!"
She's ALWAYS the useless one, she even admited that herself....
She just needs to die.. Because she's too annoying... And because I say so!
I remember Sasuke-kun from the Japanese version, but this is no doubt exaggerated. And yes, she did admit to feeling useless. But, she changed that. She grew up, she cut her hair and gave up on what she had grown long to impress Sasuke. She needs to die because you say so? As far as I know, you don't control Masashi Kishimoto.
Sakura Haruno from Naruto! I hate her so much. Her voice is as annoying and ear-splitting as nails to a chalkboard. Her friendship speeches are so sugery to the point that I want to puke. She looks as dumb as she speaks. She is to preppy and needs to be a mental house. Noone likes her and I think that Naruto and the others are just her friends cause she is the only girl that doesnt look like a Barbie doll and doesnt cry all the time and also cause she has big boobs. Naruto just has her around cause he wants somebody to be with him so the birds dont pick on him.
A lot of VA's get slack when they are compared to their character's seiyuu's. But, I don't think Sakura's voice is that annoying. I actually love Inner Sakura's voice and regular Sakura's voice is nowhere near as horrible as it's made out to be. Friendship speeches? When has Sakura ever given a friendship speech? And, I thought the accusations of Anzu being a friendship preacher were absurd. How can someone look dumb? As far as I know, being preppy doesn't equal to being insane either.
Actually, I think it's quite clear that the others truly do like her. Maybe you don't, but to question their friendships because of your hatred is not only immature and childish, but quite laughable. I don't even remember seeing any birds in Naruto.
Sakura Haruno. Where do I begin? She is only a barbie doll that cares only for the material things in life. I dont know why in the world she hangs around naruto and the others. she is as fake as the nails that i have on my hands. She is just another unimporant person for guys to drool after. She is only in the Naruto storyline to boost up ratings.
Barbie? Barbies grow up to have superhuman strength? I've never heard of a ninja Barbie before. Material things in life are usually described as shopping, makeup, flirting, clothes and boys. Gee, one out of five. She's a real bimbo, isn't she? She goes on to fight the boy she has a crush on too. Sakura sure doesn't give off the fake vibe to me, you do though. Unimportant!? She fought Akatsuki members, heals people, etc. If she's unimportant, I'd hate to see someone useless. Yes, some girls are there to boost up ratings. But, they usually at least have one purpose. Sakura has a purpose too; she is the most human of the ninjas and goes through a lot of character development.
Sakura from Naruto! She only cares about her Sasuke-kun, and inner Sakura please she's weak and tied with Ino in an exam that says somthing!
Sakura used to only care about "Sasuke-kun", but she obviously doesn't anymore. Even when she had long hair, she began to show concern and compassion for Naruto. Does she even know enough about Inner Sakura to care about her more than anyone else? She *used* to be weak. Tying with Ino in that exam was one of the more beautiful moments of her growth, she lasted much longer than she would have before. Ino even said she had blossomed into a beautiful flower.
Sakura Haruno from Naruto: She's so damn annoying with the Sasuke thing and she does nothing in battle >.O
Sasuke thing over with. Nothing in battle!? Does not compute, does not compute!
