I had responded to luna_hoshino's defense of female characters, but I had been a week late to the party so no luck getting a response thus far at least. I admit I'm guilty of saying stuff against the opposite sex due to their behavior. But this has to do with personal issues. (Which is why am I upset at the opposite sex even though they're in a similar boat to ( Read more... )

Because it seems to me, that it's all about YOU, and the characters YOU relate to.

So true. This argument just seems like one big whine fest to me. I'm also curious to know his personal reasons for disliking women too. I mean, come on, what did the entire female gender do to you?

"This argument just seems like one big whine fest to me."

So did the last one he did, but I just didn't want to say anything then.

Oh man, you should have said something. I didn't see his previous argument as I am not a fan of the show he was speaking of. Personally I have nothing against last born children. My little brother is twice as big as my older brother and could beat the living crap out of any other guy in the neighborhood. It's not about how your born or what gender you are. Personality is about your life experiences and how you choose to deal with them.

Wait, wasn't this guy the one who bashed the fuck outta Serra from Fire Emblem because she was OMG MEEEEEEEEAN to Sain in their A support, completely ignoring how she helped Floring wiht her chronic shyness, beat herself up when Oswin told her she wasn't doing her job well, cried about her past whe she spoke about it to Hector and Lucius, and told Erk that she followed him around because she knew he didn't take care of himself as well as others?

Also! I don't like Bloo not because he's the youngest, but because his personality rubbed me the wrong way... just like Mac's older brother Terrence pisses me off too. Terrence is a clear example of a negatively stereotyped older child, yet the ranter ignored it absolutely to continue bitching about Bloo's martyrdom or something.

And about lastborns... Well, I'm the eldest sister in my family, and admittedly I'm not exactly the most mature out of us. To him, clearly I'm no one to talk. :P

I wouldn't say he bashed the fuck out of Serra, but he disliked her for not taking Sain seriously enough in their relationship, resulting in the important issues in their relationship not being addressed until the last minute and in Sain not ending up with anyone. It was just how that cookie crumbled in my opinion, so I didn't think much of Sain and Serra not getting an ending.

o hay, I like Bloo. He's a bit of a jerk but I like him regardless. Terrance is-sadly-just another negative eldest sibling stereotype, so I agree with you on that.

Yeah, I possibly should've thought my own wording better. :P Still, the whole deal of "Let's bash Serra for being a shrew who doesn't worship Sain" keeps rubbing me the wrong way, for I not only like their relationship in a sort-of "brother-sister type of friends who might or might not have some bits of mutual attraction", but because it sounded like Serra had no right to even say the slightiest critic towards Sain because Sain was God, or something; personally, I fail to see how Serra's behavior is OMG much worse and meaner than Rebecca calling Sain a pig, Isadora being all "O RLY?", or Fiora giving him the cold shoulder. :P

He called her hypocritical for saying he was gross for hitting on all the girls, when she supposedly hit on a lot of the guys.
