De-lurking to rant...

Okay, I've seen the occasional defending of real-life people against bashers, and right now, I really have to talk on this...

Tonight, I'm defending...

Cillian Murphy

Yes, the actor who played Dr. Crane in Batman Begins, Jackson Rippner in Red Eye, and Jim from 28 Days Later. And I absolutely love him. From his quirky looks, down-to-earth persoanlity and his superb acting skills. However, it seems like the fact that his biggest American movies, both of which had him playing villains, just can't leave people's minds and thus, that means that he's "creepy" looking. And being a member of the celeb gossip community, OhNoTheyDidnt, I know all too well just how superficial those people are.

To that I must say this:

WHAT THE FUCK IS SO CREEPY ABOUT HIM?!

He has only made TWO, count that, TWO films where he is a bad guy. It's like they make it sound like he is a bad guy in every single film. And even if that weren't the case, people still say that he's creepy looking. Or even better yet, looks like a rapist. And let me ask you this: How can you tell someone's a rapist just by looking at him?! Because you have no way of knowing who's a pervert and who isn't just by appearances alone.

And then there are the arguments saying "He's just ugly" with no further explanation to back it up. Don't like the way he looks? Well here's a little piece of advice: STOP LOOKING. I don't know about you, but I certainly am not changing the way I look just because someone else doesn't like it. Heck, my own mom would prefer to not to wear so many low-cut shirts, but I still wear them because it's my body and clothes, and I like them. No one can convince me otherwise. And Cillian's look is something uniquely all his own. Plus, numerous magazines, co-starsmovie critics and news reporters gush over him and call him beautiful among many other things. Looks like the general media and many other people wouldn't agree.

Besides, beauty is only skin deep. And forgive my funny way of thinking, but isn't an actor's job supposed to be acting? Cillian's a fabulous actor, and he's really down-to-earth and doesn't have his personal life in the tabloids all the time, which is incredibly refreshing, considering how "Young Hollywood" is these days.

If you want to see how bad it is, look here, but don't say I didn't warn you when I say it is full of some of the dumbest people you may have ever seen:
