So I Went to an Anime Convention...
And while waiting for the next person to battle in the InuYasha TCG regionals, I ended up talking to these three girls who also had an interest in playing the game.
I quickly switched the subject to something less likely to make me nervous (first time in regionals for me...), so I talked about the anime. I went on about a few things, I really can't remember, and then I talked about Kagome.
I'm not a Kagome basher, but when I mentioned her, one of the girls blasted out with "Oh, don't talk about that bitchy control freak! Did you even see the second and third movies?! Total. Control. Freak!".
Ummmm... why yes I have seen the second and third movies. I actually wondered if the girl before me had ever seen them, considering in the second movie there was no hint at all of Kagome being controlling at all, what with her being the subject of bait by Princess Kaguya. As for the third movie, I don't remember it too well, probably because I was so psyched to see Inupapa... but still, I'm sure Kagome didn't show any signs of control freakery there either.
We got on the subject of cosplay, where I stupidly opened my mouth and said that I was almost finished with my Kikyou cosplay... and regretted it. The same girl had another snotty comment lined up for Kikyou as well, though she didn't have the "ammo" to use as example this time.
I was fed up with this girl, so I asked her- "Just out of curiosity, what exactly are you watching InuYasha for?".
Her answer- "For the hot guys, of course!".
*headdesk*
