Kimahri Ronso
While innocently surfing the internet, I discovered many “Which FFX Character was Most Annoying” threads. Many people said they thought all the characters were annoying, which upset me. I liked the cast of X. What distressed me most, though, was that the most hated character seemed to be Kimahri.
He talks to little!
Not all characters are going to be little chatterboxes, dear. Actually, you seem to also bash Tidus and Rikku for talking too much. Make up your mind, mm? Either way, the fact that Kimahri talked little suited his history and role in the story, so him talking much would have been a bit inconsistent in characterization.
Plus, if Kimahri talked more, wouldn’t have the wonderful quote, “Sit down. Shut up. Wait.”
His voice is annoying.
If you have such a problem with his voice, why did you just complain about him talking too little? You should be glad he was so quiet. His voice could be a bit grating, but, frankly, that’s a bad reason to hate a character. Personally, I liked his voice and thought it suited him well.
There’s no point to his character!
BZZT, wrong! If it weren’t for Kimahri, there wouldn’t be a Final Fantasy X. Remember who brought Yuna to Besaid? That action essentially set up the game to work out like it did, so he is very important to the plot.
Also, his back-story and how his portion of the plot played out rocked, IMHO.
He has no personality.
I beg to differ. He’s loyal, protective, and has a sense of honor. He has the major character flaw of being unable to except help. The thirst to prove himself motivates him, and he’s quiet and contemplative. Personally, I found him to be interesting and reasonably complex character.
He’s useless in battle!
No! No! Bad gamer! No cookie for you. Stats =/= character! This annoys me more than anything else. Just because you didn’t like to use him in battle doesn’t make Kimahri a bad character! I’m pretty sure only he could use blue magic (which has save my sorry rear so many times) and you can customize his stats. After working with him a bit, I turned him into a “worthy” fighter, so why can’t you if his lack of mad skillz bothers you so much?
In summery, the only reason to hate Kimahri is that his name can be hard to spell. In fact, he’s cooler than you, bashers. Besides, am I the only person who thought the Shoopuf story was adorable? XD
