No Need for Kagome?

I'll read/watch shonen, shoujou, and am a rabid fan of shonen-ai. Lots of the characters I like are very much bashed, such as these...

And many others I can't think of at the moment. So, here's my rant.
So I was just looking around for Kagome images, right? Well, I happened to stumble upon this site here: Copycat-Kagome Higurashi Hatelisting. I thought, hmm, maybe I'll see WHY they don't like her.
The reasons were just plain stupid.
Is she Kikyo's reincarnation? Please! Kagome will never be like Kikyo-san. She intervenes between Inuyasha and Kikyo!. That makes me sick.
Yes, she is Kikyo's reincarnation. Get over it. Her personality is almost the complete opposite of Kikyo, but there is a reason for that.
Kagome's personality is different because I think Rumiko-san wanted to show that Kagome is NOT Kikyo! She grew up in a different time, a different place, different family. Obviously she wouldn't exactly be the same. Where would the fun be if Kagome was exactly like Kikyo?
In a way, Kagome DID steal Inuyasha, but in a way she didn't. Due to the fact that Kikyo's soul resides in her, I think it was almost inevitable that she would fall in love for Inuyasha. Kikyo was DEAD when Kagome met Inuyasha. Kikyo was out of the picture when she started to fall in love with Inuyasha. Complications didn't arise until AFTER Kikyo was "brought back to life".
If you think about it, Kagome has the same right to go after Inuyasha, due to the fact a) she met him before Kikyo came back alive and b) Kikyo's soul resides in her. The Kikyo that is alive only feels hate, or so she says. The fact that Kagome could, but doesn't go after Inuyasha because of his feelings for Kikyo, makes her a really strong person in my opinion.
She's "so perfect"... I mean, a perfect person doesn't exist, but we can see a stupid and innocent girl trying to be perfect. OMG. She's really annoying, pathetic, crybaby, etc!.
She. Is. Not. Perfect. Get that through your brain. She has many flaws, such as she jumping to conclusions, her temper getting riled easily, and being a klutz. I have many of these same flaws. Does that make ME perfect? No. Yes, she can be annoying at points, but I blame the dub voice more than anything (and that's why I don't watch it a whole bunch).
Crybaby? Um...if you were scared, had no idea what to do, lost in a strange world, having the only guy you ever loved only seem to take interest in you because you're like his old lover, and having to deal with her stresses of school, make her immune to crying? Crying does not make you weak, it makes you strong. Sure, it's overdone sometimes (like with Usagi in Sailor Moon), but all the times she has cried have very good circumstances.
Poor Kagome, she thinks that InuYasha loves her... ha! She gets sad when InuYasha is with Kikyou or when him remember her. Can't you understand?! InuYasha protects you, take care about you, is always with you because InuYasha looks Kikyou in you!
Uh...no. She knows for a fact that Inuyasha still loves Kikyo, but she is always confused by what he does. Sometimes I want to SCREAM at Inuyasha when he's confused on why Kagome is hurt that he wants to see Kikyo. As I commented to one of my friends:
"Inuyasha, you do NOT hug a girl, protect her, comfort her, do everything for her sake and her safety, and then expect her to be ok with you going to see your old lover when she obviously loves you!"
Of course, this flaw in Inuyasha is what makes him lovable, but he jerks Kagome around so much that I am amazed that Kagome hasn't tried to give him completely up. In the first Inuyasha movie, when Kagome pricks her finger, he comes and bandages it up even if there was no need, but he wasn't there for her. He was there because Kikyo was there. You can imagine how hurt Kagome felt.
Kagome tries not to interfere with it. She has to hold back her jealousy and be happy for Inuyasha. Again, only a really strong person would be able to do that.
Also, you, bitch. Why most of all in the series say that she looks a lot like Kikyou? Bah! Also she's always saying stupid things. Please shut up!
...And Inuyasha hasn't said stupid things too? While I agree that only in a few scense does she look a lot like Kikyo, I am appalled at the stupid thins comment. EVERYBODY says stupid things.
What about Inuyasha? He says idiotic things all the time. And Miroku with his womanizing! Need I remind you that Sango's sharp tongue gets her in trouble with Miroku a lot? Everybody says and does stupid things.
In conclusion, please be aware that Rumiko Takahashi made Kagome this way for a reason. Kagome is not Kikyo. She may be a reincarnation, but Rumiko made Kagome specifically that way so that Inuyasha would realize that she is NOT Kikyo.
Over the past few days, I have grown to really like Kikyo. She prolly won't be my favorite character, but I have come to respect her as a character of a tragic past. I hate the fact that there has to be such idiotic fans on both Anti-Kikyo and Anti-Kagome.
