First post here! And....a bad fic expose, with bonus material!
Gawd. I honestly didn't think Rikku was so....hated. I know some people dislike her because she acts somewhat...ditzy...and perky...but raw, seething hate??
I found this on a fanfiction site.....and it is just blatantly...horrible.
They even diss the Al Bheds. Oh yeah, the fic has a lot of....pretty disgusting stuff in it. It is basically one huge diss of..well, a lot of stuff in FFX.
...It is also one of the biggest steaming piles of....bad fics I've ever read.

Bonus material: I'm actually a fan of Rikku's. (Duh) I have heard the arguments that she is ditzy and dumb and whatnot....but groups DO need a cheerful, spunky element to them at times. Especially when things get down. I like to play that part a lot in real life, I'm the silly, hyper, insane one that tries to get everyone to laugh, and gives them a shoulder to cry on when they are too down to laugh. Sometimes that sort is needed.
I'd say Rikku would count as a hated character though, since I've definitely heard more 'against' her then 'for'. And a lot of the people 'for' her are only on that side because "omg sehs so hawt!11"....-_-;;
