personality: Francis, in general, thinks very highly of himself. He seems to think that he's extremely clever, smirking at his own jokes whether or not everyone else is. Sometimes it's a short, sarcastic remark, and other times it's something "witty" that he thinks will get him out of a tough situation (read: it won't). He's known to pose as "the cops" often in order to get other survivors to help him and his comrades out, seriously thinking that he's being absolutely believable. So he's a little naive. Who isn't?
He can be rude at times, but beneath his tough-as-nails exterior Francis is actually a caring guy, at least for his fellow survivors. He's a good guy despite his appearance, and will always have his friends' backs. That doesn't mean he won't crack jokes at them now and then, because god forbid he actually admits to liking them, let alone liking anything at all.
Francis is known for hating everything. He's extremely negative at times, which is why he may have some dislike for his fellow survivor, Louis, who is known to be optimistic. The other survivors get on Francis for his comments, especially when he remarks that he actually likes something, for a change. Francis is known to only like vests and lasagna. Sometimes, he will state that he loves the army (previously hating them), if they come to the rescue, and once, after hitting his head, had stated he loved helicopters.
By his appearance, one can tell he's the "biker-type". It's something he's proud of, and he lives up to some aspects of the stereotype. He's still loud and arrogant, he believes he is truly good-looking and comments about it often. He also believes he's practically indestructible. What makes him different from other survivors is that while everyone else was grabbing supplies and hiding in safe houses, Francis was grabbing weapons and living the good life. The zombie apocalypse is like a non-stop bar fight, anarchy at it's best. Francis would be having the time of his life if it wasn't for the fact that he hates zombies.
Francis is littered with tattoos that say "Hells Legion." This is most likely a motorcycle club similar to the real-world Hells Angels. Hells Angels have been given a bad rep throughout the 60's-70's, but many modern-day biker gangs are typically good people. Francis, although his appearance and general attitude make him appear otherwise, is a simple guy. It's obvious that he cares for the other survivors, showing real remorse for them when they are hurt or killed in-game. If he was as bad-ass as he tries to seem, it's unlikely that he would have offered his company with the group at all.
Most of this tough-guy persona comes to life in his dialogue with the other survivors, and most of it is probably made up or exaggerated. Once, he claimed to beat a man to death for making fun of his "little brown shorts." (This was when Francis comments that he was once drove a delivery truck.) It can be chocked-up to "tough guy talk" and really nothing more, he's generally non-confrontational. When caught shoplifting, instead of running away or trying to fight his way past the police, he just claimed to be one of them trying to "gather evidence". Again, his cleverness is showing.
abilities/powers: Francis is handy with firearms, and good at outrunning zombies. and cops He also has learned the valuable lesson of teamwork.
It's worthy to note that Francis, like the other survivors, is a carrier of the "Green Flu" but is immune to the effects.
I tend to handle certain things a little different than usual in order to give a nod to the game mechanics a bit. For example, healing with a med kit, being knocked on his ass and needing the help up (teamwork, guys), or if dying, respawning in a closet somewhere and being stuck there until let out.
