so i finally got around to my top ten albums of 2005. not in any order of loved to loved most or anything, but here goes:
Adult. "Gimme Trouble
not bad, really good for music in general, lol, but a change for adult.
Goldfrapp "Supernature"
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ALBUM IS GRAND TO ME. nuff said.
Soulwax "Nite Versions"
adrian gave this to me a while back and its like crack. soulwax is something i hope no one else finds out about for a very long time.
M.I.A. "Arular"
Im sorry but if you havent heard her by this point, my friend annie and i will personally sit down and have a listen with you, its just that catchy and that amazing.
Adult. D.U.M.E.
Its funny because i actually enjoyed this better than "Gimme Trouble". dunno why, but i felt that they really made an effort with this one in terms of expanding thier sound.
Beck "Hell Yes (Ghettochip Malfunction) EP"
DAMN. BEST BEST BEST thing to dance to in 2005. EVER.
Beck "Guero"
I know, I know, everyone and thier mom (including mine) loved this album, but for some reason i just could not stop putting this one on.
Four Tet "Everything Estastic"
Four Tet pretty much sums it up when it comes to driving music for me, or reeeeeeally stoned music. lol.
Caribou "The Milk of Human Kindness"
No where near as good as the days of long lost Manitoba, but this album really keeps you listening, alot more odd noises and bleeps than other releases, and somehow it works. hah.
Stereo Total "Do the Bambi"
In my dreams, Stereo Total would play at every party i went to. "I am Naked" pretty much summed up a few months of heavy drinking for me.
