yesterday at the record swap i found both team dresch albums for $2.50 each. i'm listening to "personal best" for the first time in years, maybe since my mom went through my things and threw away what she found offensive, crying and not asking why, simply exasperated and threatening therapy. not counselling for the depression which seems so obvious

At one point my mom really didn't want me to listen to M.C. Hammer. She cited his liner notes, which spoke about all the "brothers locked up" and pointed out that the music was not being made for me. And then she said something that has stuck with me for years and will continue to do so, "You're going to get big lips if you keep listening to this music".

I told my dad about that and we had a good laugh. Then he bought me the "Naughty By Nature" tape and we listened to "O.P.P." together.

Any interest in going to dollar drinks tomorrow at 540?

I'm going skateboarding with Kim after work, so I don't think I'll be able to make it in time for the movie.

On Saturday at 1pm I'm going to go to a David Sedaris in-store reading at Cover to Cover. Then that night there's a Needles and Pens 1-year-anniversary party from 6-10 that I'll be going to. Let me know if you're interested in going to either. Also any chance you're going to the flea market this Sunday? I wanted to go last week but was actually enroute to see Harry Potter when you guys came over.
