Graduation

Well, I have graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. The school held a simple little ceremony, where our newscast and air checks were played for all to see and hear.

Now, the real work begins. It’s time to start working in the studios or taking cameras out into the field, building up demos to use in applying for jobs. And sometime soon, I should be starting a (probably unpaid) internship, ideally with a local TV station. But my first order of business is to get a copy of that newscast. I promised the folks I did it on that I’d get them a copy.

Perhaps the biggest immediate positive is that I will no longer be away from home for fourteen to sixteen hours every single weekday. That’ll be just once or twice a week now.
