Work yesterday was hell. At least three people didn't show up so the entire back line was two people for most of the day. I cooked, he made sandwiches. On top of all that there were a ton of 6+ burger meals made. This was pretty much how it was from like four until eleven (I was supposed to leave at nine, by the way) and then DeMarco and Kenya showed up. My co-worker for throughout the day was permitted to leave because DeMarco was there to take his place but I couldn't leave because I had to "stock". How are you supposed to stock when the place is so busy? By the time I cooked a tray of meat, another was out. This continued for about an(other) hour, but then Kenya wants me to sweep, mop, change all the trash cans, put the dishes away and all this. Yeah, it was our shift's responsibility, but.... why am I the only one who remains to do all this shit? And it's the dishwasher's responsibility to put the dishes away, not mine.
I ended up being there until about 1, which means I worked nine hours instead of the proposed five. I wasn't really pissed about having the extra time, it was just that everyone else from my shift got to leave before that so apparently it's all on me. I could make this a racial issue (Kenya and 90% of our employees are black, including everyone who was allowed to leave) but I won't because I have no other evidence of favoritism (this could be pure coincidence) and no one would listen to me anyway.
I've spent retarded amounts of my time online since having access to a computer again. I really shouldn't.
