Heather and I were having breakfast when the cats decided to act out a scene of a Yuen Woo Ping script they must have found on the Internet while we were at work.
Leia, who is generally mouthy was meowing at Scooter what I would assume was and epitaph about her teacher's lack of lineage. Scooter took a swipe, and it began. Leia slowly laid down raising one rear paw to scooter's face in an extending motion that took almost 10 seconds. As her paw touched Scooter's head, she meowed (probably "bring it", but it was garbled and I hadn't had my morning coffee yet), which set Scooter flying in a forward roll into Leia's head. Tussling ensued until Leia had to break off a headlock from Scooter.
Then, as Leia and Scooter were facing off in a chi-entangled stare-down, Scooter took a front paw and set it on Leia's head in a deft praying mantis move. As Leia tried to counter, Scooter was immediately past her reach and at her head, effectively sitting on it. Another flurry of grapples and blocks ensued until Leia was again at the disadvantage and had to break off.
After a few more exchanges of deathly stares and hollow words (something about "your teacher is still not proven"), Leia disengages, and Scooter goes to the scratching post and treats it like a Mook Jong, gives Leia a side glance, and walks from the room.
