Having spent nearly half a day sulking in the wilderness that surrounds the city, Sniper finally caved to his major vice of modern man: coffee. He wasn't ready to actually go back- he was still struggling to come to terms with the fact that he was in the future, his parents were long-dead, and there were voices and talking animals appearing on the

He turns his head to the side, laying a hand gingerly on the back of it. He removes it with a hiss, noting the spots of blood covering his own fingers- that smarts more than he thought it would. It takes him another second to get his bearings; he has a deep breath, his jarred vision landing on something a short distance away. He squints- what is that?
It comes to him almost as soon as he asks the question: Pyro's mask. He sits up, only to send his head spinning again. Regardless, while his curiosity is piqued, Sniper's more concerned about Pyro not wanting to be seen- after all, he'd have taken off that mask at some point if he didn't mind the rest of the team knowing what was underneath.
They'd all had their guesses: a mangled man, a robot of some kind, a member of BLU cleverly hiding themselves amongst their ranks; one guess that had come up that Sniper was never keen to believe turned out to be the truth. He finds Pyro is not waiting for him to awaken, nor is he ready for the kill, as promised: the fire-user is nothing more than a woman, one bearing a multitude of grotesque scars and lying unconscious a few feet from him.
Sniper untangles his legs from the branches and gets to them, only to immediately trip on them once more as he backs away. His tail hits the ground again, his hand bumping into his gun. He collects the weapon quickly, nervously sliding it into the holster on his back as he tries to think of what to do. The blood trailing from her head contrasts sharply against her skin, her face instantly recognizable as the woman from the day before. No wonder she'd known so much about RED, even if she had clearly faked some ignorance.
He takes a second deep breath, finding his communicator next and tucking it into the pouch. All right, so Pyro is a woman. Not a big deal, though learning there is a woman working the battlefield for RED is a bit of a shock. The implications that arise from that make him even more tense. The fact that she's unconscious and injured is more pressing, especially when he has no idea where he can find medical supplies to treat either of their concussions.
He looks back to her, his hand trailing to the knot on the back of his head again. Yes, she attacked him, but... well, he had done exactly what she told him not to do. He snorts irritably- being put in his place by a woman was something else he didn't need to suffer.
At the same time, he couldn't just leave her there. His sense of dignity as a man- what little he had- wouldn't allow it.
Kneeling beside her, Sniper tries to awaken her first. After pulling her from the branches, he gives a tentative shake to her shoulder, then a rougher one- neither helps. He lets out an exasperated sigh, his frustrating mounting in his shoulders. Without any other options, he realizes he's going to have to take her back to the city, to the RED base where Medic can treat her injuries.
It's only after he decides on his plan that he comes on a flaw: he had declined her invitation to the RED base the day (or was it three days, now?) before. He has no clue where to find the others. That leaves him with an even less favorable option, as he only knows the approximate location of one other person.

*SQUEAK! SQUEAK!*
What was that? Certainly it was not a sound common among Pyros. No. Instead, what Sniper might see was a brain slug popping out of the collar of her suit and flying towards his face. Landing on his forehead, the green creature would use those slimy tentacles like a suction cup to latch onto him and continue squealing.

He bats reflexively at the creature, trying not to think too long on whether or not the Pyro he'd known for years was a woman, as well... or worse.]
Gah, go on!
