As I Gaze Into Your Eyes
As I sit here, across this table from you, I gaze deeply into your eyes. I see more than just the deep, beautiful blue. I see you. Myself reflected. Us. The past. The future. A future I can't possibly imagine without you by my side.
I see, in the past, mistakes I've made, feelings i've hurt, but more than that, all the good times. They far outnumber the bad. I also see the present, the lessons learned from mistakes made. In the future, I see everything. I see you there, with me. I see ourselves, sitting across the table from eachother years later; gazing once again into eachother's eyes, thinking about how far we've come. How we overcame all that stood in our way. Together.
I see now how i could never jeopordize this again. I am making a promise to never let you down again. I did before, but never again. I'll be there to catch you when you fall, hold you when you're sick, hurt, or crying. I'll be there to be everything I need to, and I'd give anything, sacrifice anything, only for you.
