if you give a gastronomic presentation, remember us all.
school has begun.
1. astronomy (really fun and magical because my school has its own planetarium! alex is in this class.)
2. AP english comp (during the getting-to-know-you activities today, we were told to introduce ourselves to someone we didn't know. about 5 people gravitated to me.)
3. french III (i hate these stupid language classes full of blonde girls but j'aime vraiment le français.)
4. AP art portfolio (two hours long. i think i'll like it. even though i haven't drawn in MONTHS.)
5. AP calculus (who knew i was taking so many AP classes...)
6. gym (AGH)
so far, compared to last year, this one is really inoffensive and parts of it are pretty good. it doesn't feel quite as much like everyone hates me and i don't think i've gotten any cleverly masked "YER FUNNY-LOOKIN'" comments at all.
i have:
-a license.
-a toby. who gets lovelier by the minute.
-a BAND.
-a possible darkroom in my basement!!
more about this band: dave, the guy who works at the beachland and asked me to be in his band a couple months ago, finally got me to come to their rehearsal last week. and I'M IN! i got them to play "mind your own business" and he wants to cover "queen bitch" too. it's fun fun. i got terribly lost on the way today and was beating the steering wheel and shouting things like "FUCK euclid! i just CAME down euclid!!"
my grandparents have this big stack of CREEM magazines and such with dB's articles in them, and among them is an A thru Z of "new rock" from 1983. a quote about some band called gizmo:
"most of their recorded legacy is dung, but so is your record collection if you don't own a copy of 'muff divin'."
