You're not in a coma but alt-world is a somewhat apt description. It's an alternative dimension so to speak. As far as I know there's no Ryan Atwood or Veronica Townsend here. There's likely a bathroom in one of the shops near you though.

[You've confused Reid.] I don't--know what you're talking about. It's a pocket dimension, sealed away from other dimensions. In theory there are infinite dimensions all existing in a cluster. This one is outside that cluster. Or possibly at the center of the cluster in contact with all dimensions. I'm not really sure. Theoretical physics aren't my strong point. I'm working on that though.

[Sorry, Reid!] T.V. shows. Wow, this coma dream is a lot more elaborate than my last. So, how do I get out of this theoretically physical pocket dimension?

You can't. No one has figured a way out. Sometimes the City sends people home but it never seems to be voluntarily and most of the time people tend to come back. Or at least that's been my experience thus far.

[There's a sigh.] Hold on for a few minutes. [The sound of feet on cobblestones can be heard, the front door opening, a bell ringing.] Hi, could you watch my - could you watch this for me? I'll be five minutes.

I don't have money, I just got here. Please sir, I won't be long. Your restaurant doesn't seem busy. Thank you!

[ And then a few minutes later. ]

Okay. Spencer? That was your name, right? Spencer Reid? Is Spencer Reid still here?

I'm still here. You sort of get a free pass on money the first month in the City. There are apartments you can just pick any empty apartment in any of the buildings. It's useful to get a room mate though. There's a clock that ticks inside your head and the theory is that you can go insane because of the ticking.

Well, that doesn't sound pleasant. Ticking, got it. Okay. Could you tell me any more useful information I need to know? I sense you're holding back.

I'm going to send you a couple of guides. Those should answer most of your questions. The most important thing you need to know is about the curses. You can usually tell by looking at the network first thing in the morning what sort of curse is going on. Sometimes they're dangerous and sometimes they're just annoying.

Curses? As in, ancient Mayan or - and they're dangerous?

Some of them are dangerous. Some of them are more benign. It's better to know what you're literally walking out into before you do that. The device has a function where you can look at old network posts. I'm not really sure how to do it because I don't really like technology.
