In which Dean owes someone a phone call.

Dean waited until he was sure Sam was asleep before picking up the phone to call Anna. He needed the sleep just as badly as his brother did, and before anyone started hassling him about it, he would get it, but he wanted to catch Anna before she got too far away from New York. He and Sam would come by and demon-proof her place, they would tell her whatever she needed to hear, but he did not need her being a wild card in this situation -- especially not when the enemy was the biggest wild card of all right now.
He knew that he was handling this relatively coldly, but he didn't know how else to do it right now. He couldn't be emotional about this, because if he was, he wouldn't get the job done. So he would just call her and do what he had to do, before things got more out of control than he was ready to handle.
He pulled up Anna's number, before hitting send and placing the phone to his ear, listening to it ring and hoping that she didn't ignore her phone and would actually pick up.
