"He did not understand all he had heard, but from his clandestine glimpse into the privacy of these two, with all the world that his short experience could conceive of at their feet, he had gathered that life for everybody was a struggle, sometimes magnificent from a distance, but always difficult and surprisingly simple and a little sad."
I'm finishing up a book of short stories by F Scott Fitzgerald today. It was a great read, really great. I only regret that at the end of each story you felt a general sadness for the human race. This excerpt from "the freshest boy" was the only story that made me feel more positive after finishing, and you can see it's no birthday party.
Also, I'm leaving today with My boss Eric and coworker Amanda for Baltimore. We're going to the Natural Products Expo East. I'm excited for the opportunity, but man whata drive. The expo also goes till Sunday. Fuck.
In other news. Falls here huh? Been out surfing quite a bit, getting muscles in the arm that I've never had. Need to get my Mountain Bike on as well. I'm looking forward to trying the surf in october and november. Seeing how frigid water reacts to wet suits. Still sounds terrible.
