SPRING BREAK, aka an update from Sujan *gasp*
WARNING: EXTREAMLY LONG ENTRY, THIS WILL PROB BE THE LONGEST ENTRY I EVER WRITE
Friday(10th) - i decided to go to the smoking popes/bayside show at the triple rock. It was a good show. Saw lot of people, Eric (he's gonna drum in my band this summer) and his 2 friends (whose names i cant remeber), Steph, Kari, Meghan (gotta love those girls), I met Jo and her roomate (whose name i also cant remeber, and even Shruti (who had come from india the day before) and Josie. After Josie and Shruti gave me a ride back to my dorm and i called up Jon and Sheriff, who told me to meet them at applebees. So we got half-priced appetizers (sheriff also got a meal, and later jon decided to). AFter that we went back to Jon's dorm, just hung out till we finally decided LETS SEE A MOVIE. We decided on 16 blocks (pretty good movie). After we went back to jon's dorm and watch donnie darko (finally saw it after every kept telling me to see it, NOW I SAW IT OK? and i liked it). i went back to my dorm at about 530 and slept
Saturday(11th) - i really can't remeber the day, so ill skip to the night. Went to the Cue the Doves Cd release show. At about 4, i went to liz's place while she got ready played guitar, played on the comp w/e. Then we grabbed a cab and went to the fallout. We didnt have to pay since liz is friends with Holly (girl who works and books shows at the fallout- and is super rad). We missed the first band, dont even know what they were called. Bands that played were Hedlock (metal band from chicago), Lies in the Efforts (those boys you gotta love), Icollide (sweet band check em out), All the rage( also sweet, lead singer Jimmy, is a sweet dude), then finally cue the doves (check em out too). Saw too many cool people to name, including Jo and Heidi, and even Landon (kid i went to school with for a year) AFter, Pat and myself called Jon and Sheriff. We had planned to go to Goldy's, but it was closed, so we wonder aimlessly, till we decided to just go back to Jon's dorm order pizza, wings, and cinasticks and just watch a movie. We decided on Lord of War, then we watch a movie called 100 women. Pat and me went back to my dorm at liek 5am, and went to sleep (oh yea pat slept over here)
Sunday(12th) - After we got up (Pat and I), we just sorta chilled played some ps2, till Jon and Sheriff woke up (we had planned to go to Little taj Mahal. I'll skip the details of between going to Jon' Dorm and finally leaving. Pat dropped us off at the dinkydome (he was going to record some Guster stuff). We find out the entire dinkydome was closed. Eventually we called Melissa (cuz i had her ticket for that night. Her and Sarah Gave us ride in to MPLS. They went into the show, and Jon, SHeriff and I got food at luce (since we hadnt eaten all day) Then went into the show just as Verses the World started playing, they were ok. I can't remeber the order after so ill just list other bands there: I Am the Avalanch, Punchline, and No use for a Name. It was a sweet show. After Jon, Shriff and I went to game works. Jon played DDR and me and Sheriff played this sweet Zombie game, we so rule. After we called Jon's friend Amanda and watched a foreign movie called Run Lola Run ( i cant rmeber what country). After i went to my dorm and yea
Monday (13th) - Just sat in my dorm doing nothing all day till liek 6 pm when i got picked up to go home, didnt do shit that night
Tuesday (14th) - didnt do shit
Wednesday (15th) - didnt do shit
Thursday (16th) - Don't remeber what time we left for the airport. But flight was at 4 pm, was the same flight the MV orch was on, so i talked to them a bit before bording. Thursday was sll travel
Friday (17th) - We landed in Copenhangen at about 11ish (4 am mn time, its 7 hours ahead). After we got to the out of the airport and clean up at the hotel it was about 2-3 pm, that day we walked around Copenhagen, and saw the sights. Most everything was closed, by 3 or 4. But we saw the city, a castle, few churches (went in one- the church of Holy Ghost). Walk to the Little Mermaid, took lots of pics (if i get em, ill upload em somewhere)
Saturday (18th) - this day we did a little more stuff. FIrst we took the train (the train system is amazing, i thinkl Pawlenty should go there and get insp[ired to get somethin more built here) from Copehenhagen to Roskillde. We went to the Viking museum, saw some viking ships,and the whole viking story, that was pretty cool. Looking out at the port, looked just like MN's frozen lakes. We then took the train back to the Central Station, to grab another train to the small town of Koge. This town didnt have much, but we just walked around, how the houses and streets were is what i think of when i think Denmark. Row house all connected together. We took the train back to Central, rested a bit in the hotel, then we went to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner (yes hard rock). Its the same menu everywhere you go. When was in there, i forgot i was in denmark, cept when people talked. I watched most of the music videos they played and one of the wasm Story of the year, weird. THen we went back to hotel to try and get some sleep, cuz i had a 625 am flight to catch.
Sunday (19th) - we grabbed the train at 443am to the airport. THen i traveled a myself back home. Had 0 time in amsteter damn and 5 hours in Newark (that sucked nothing there), I sat by my friend Whitney on the way from Newark to Mpls, that was weird and random! ha but yea, i got back here at about 830 pm, went home had dinner, chilled went to bed
and this morning i got up ate breakfest and im back here, i got class at 1115 and yeah
