This elementary school field is just one of the nearby places we take our two dogs to go run their brains out. They are both very high energy dogs & go a bit mad whenever they don't get out somewhere to run full steam every day or two. I can't begin to describe the pure joy it is to see them running full stop, being exactly what they were built to do.

Now that I've finally joined a gym & getting back into a routine (after many years of sitting on my butt), I am beginning to appreciate once again that endorphine rush I'm certain my two dogs crave every single day. Well, I will tell you, the first ten minutes on the eliptical machine are absolute tortuous, as my legs complain furiously & every single minute seems like an hour, but once I get past those inital ten minutes, I'm soaring, especially when I get near an hour's time, then I am almost giddy. Weird it is. ;-) The upside is I think the exercise is bringing me out of my subtle depression (I tried to deny & ignore) that I've been going through the past couple of years. And I guess that is why my dogs look mopey when they miss more than to two days getting to run.
