It was a good weekend with a sudden sleepover.

Friday
We had dinner at The Golden Viet Thai. Then The Hubby and I went and saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. By no stretch of the imagination is this American History, nor did it follow the plot in the book it's based on. They ramped up the action to an absurd degree in some scenes but it was still rollicking good fun.

Saturday
We went shopping for foot wear for The Hubby, bus rides for me. We waited anxiously for Buddha Monkey to come home from his swim lessons. While waiting, I went through June's musical library. You learn a lot about your friends by traipsing through their musical tastes. Buddha Monkey and Tad finally showed up, very late because Buddha Monkey lost his bus pass.

We took Buddha Monkey and Diggy to see Brave. See it and stay till the end of the credits. It's worth it.

During the rolling of the very long credits, Buddha Monkey asked:

"Can I sleep over?"
"You'll have to ask Uncle Greg." I said
"I can sleep on the floor!" was his solution to any sleeping arrangement issues.

We had supper a June and Tad's. The hubby went home early due to fatigue. I stayed a bit longer to see June, who went later with a mutual friend to see Brave.

Buddha Monkey had fun watching Megamind, playing with Gris-gris or Starcraft (once I re-installed it on the computer)

Sunday
Buddha Monkey and I baked a strawberry-rhubarb pie. He asked to try raw rhubarb with sugar and he LIKED IT! I took him home with the pie because otherwise I will eat it all by myself.

The best thing about this weekend - finding a shorter route to June and Tad's by a whole ten minutes. Take #2 to Bus Terminal to catch the #7 to Cat Centre. Go me!
