Friday was Queen's Anime Club's annual Win, Lose, or Draw showing. Diggy brought two friends and they all slept over. Prizes were Cocoa Cacle Cookies, Charnequieras and Pocky. We had full (read "strongly encouraged" in one group's case) audience participation. I was with Diggy's team "The Catbus is Taken". I made two points for us and I think she or one of her friends made the 3rd. We were tied for third place till the Exec bonus round. We still got some of the cookies I brought for prizes. We had a lot of fun guessing obscure titles to really simple ones. Everyone got stumped by the pictures for Hamtaro because it hard to draw a hamster and exercise wheel real well. I got Macross from a mother + cross.
Saturday was packed. I took Gris-gris to the vet for his last set of shots. His last testicle has descended so he will be easier to neuter next year. The vet says he is very healthy and looks very charming and is gaining weight and growing well. Despite getting 3 shots he was very hyper because the girls played with him. So in February he goes back and hopefully this operation will calm him down a bit.
We went shopping after the girls got picked up. I got soap at Tara Foods and winter hiking boots at the Army Surplus for work. The Hubby got some running shoes at the Army Surplus too. I helped The Hubby find chocolates at Cooke's for a co-worker whose name he drew for the Secret Santa at work. We hung out at Nexus while waiting to see
Ninja Assassin. Did I like it - yes because Rain is such good eye candy.
Went to
nessun's for a going away party for
mriswith. I got him a Fairy Dust Munchkin pack for him. He liked it very much but is cursing Steve Jackson Games because they only come in blister packs and not a complete set like most of the Munchkin games. We had a good time talking about what we've been doing, complaints about our jobs and just poking fun at
kusanivy's fandoms with very salacious remarks mostly coming from
team_kibosh. I left when Rock Band was brought out to go to LARP.
LARP was fun even though I was late. I skipped Denny's because I was completely exhausted by the end of game.
This morning Gris-gris developed a new goal for himself. He wants to play with my dream-catcher in our bedroom but e has to climb the bedroom drapes to do this. This is on top of his desire to much on the Christmas cactus in the living for which he also has to climb the draperies. He talks a lot when he tries to figure out stuff, more like he complains a lot about his failures actually.
Today should be a bit more relaxed because I only have to worry about Cadwallon.
