Pearl and Thumbalina.
Pearl is a black short haired cat with a white bib and streak down her belly, probably named after the Black Pearl in PoTC. Mom's nickname for her is Velcro because she lies in whoever's lap is in the Lazy Boy, aka Mom's, chair. Otherwise Thumbelina lies it it till ousted by a human. My nickname for her is Fang because her canines are pretty long for a cat. She looks like Souci a bit.
Thumbelina is a polydactyl tortoise shell who attacked Pat's shoe laces when he and Mom went to look at cats at the cat shelter. Of course they had to take her. She's his cat since he fusses over her the most. She even naps in the crook of his arm on the couch when he watches TV. She loves chasing he sponge balls all over the place and it's encouraged to tire her out before human bedtimes. Thumb has the amusing/annoying habit of begging for food at the dinner table. She tries every time when I visit.
Pearl is the dominant cat. She is the only cat who can sit or use the cardboard scratching board Mom bought a few months ago. She is only one who can sit on the carpeted tower too. She gets to eat first. Thumb gets by though on being nosy when I sleep in mom's bed.
Since they switched to wet cat food because or Pearl's fangs make eating hard food awkward. They were no longer keen on their treats - except the Feline Greenies I found out this weekend. I guess Pat has not tried them out cause both cats gobbled them them like chocolate starved PMSing females.
So those are the critters in Montreal I have to deal with.
