You beat me to posting! LOL!

I was just on DelToroFilms reading this! It should totally rock (although it delays a possible Hellboy III for several years - to the point where Ron Perlman and Dougie might not be able to do it. And GDTs already said he won't do any HB stuff without Ron)

For some reason, I thought I already knew this, and thought I mentioned it to Nica about how you'd be sqeeing over it. And that was a few weeks ago... when the wrote about the estate suing, which was putting off the starting of production, because of issues with the rings. The article mentioned that Jackson wouldn't direct, just produce, and that your fave director would be directing.

I was going to link to the article at the time in my LJ, but figured you'd known already.

Weird. Now I'm wondering if I'm going crazy.

No, you're not going crazy. I remember those other articles, too. The difference is that those were rumour-reported-as-fact, (which del Toro quickly tried to stamp out with actual facts), and this is official. You can chalk it up to the unreliability of both entertainment news and the internet.

Bill's right - the rumour has been going around for several months now but GDT only confirmed this morning.

"an adaptation of" kind of scares me. Because I loved that book. I know it's what they all are... but ..
