Royal Canadian Air Farce set to end?
The Royal Canadian Air Farce, one of Canada's longest-running comedy troupes, will be grounded after next season, CBC announced on Tuesday.
I grew up with this show. I would sit every Sunday listening to their comic take on the week's events in Canada and the world. There were a lot of colourful characters and situations. It was not to surprising seeing the politicians of the days being on the show to be ribbed a bit. I loved Mike From Canmore, Sgt Renfrew from the Mounted Police, and Luba Goy's impersonation of the Queen. I will miss them all.
