Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz.
The beginning of the teen age spy series. There are huge differences between the movie and the book. Some had to with what you can get away with in books and movies. I do like the ingenuity displayed by Alex though counter balanced by the wrong assumptions he makes too. Some things are better explained and it makes for good light reading for any of the tween set who wish they could be brave and James Bond.
Now if I can only get my hands on Snakehead, I will have read the entire series.
