I had donated $5 to Queen's Radio way back in January.
So I got a thank you letter from the radio station. Then a month later I got a thank you letter from The Principal and Vice-Chancellor along with a bookmark on the Donor Bill of Rights reassuring me my money would go to what I intended it for. Then I get a phone call from the AMS (Queen's student government) thanking me for my donation. You'd think they never got money before with the amount of thank yous I got. (I admit it's the firs time I donated to any institution at Queen's.)
On a side note, Queen's Radio was told by other University/community radio stations that they would be lucky to raise $2000 on a first time pledge drive. They got $11,300. Way to go Kingston, Queen's and the Thousand Islands Area.
