Bon Odori 2006~!

Firstly, apologizing for the overdued report~ I guess I just had too many stuff to type out and never really had the time to do it *gets shot*

Bon Odori 2006~~ Whee~ My first bon odori XD The place was really packed with people. We (my brother's friends, my brother and I) got to the stadium around 6.20pm or so. The walking distance from the car to the stadium was around 20 minutes! (it was a pain to walk back when the event ended since we're already drained from lining up for food and dancing XD)

The first thing we did when we got there was line up for food. My brother wanted yakisoba so we got into line. After about 30 minutes of waiting, the lined finally shortened and we realised that the section that we were lining up at was for Kakigouri (shaved ice with condensed milk and syrup) *dies* (the yakisoba and kakigouri was done by the same stall but the stall was split into two sections. One specifically for kakigouri and the other for food.) So we switched lines and got our yakisoba in a 2 minute line wait. We bought three yakisobas (mostly to take home and let our family try it out), one dango, two 100plus, and a bottle of mineral water.

Then we met up with my brother's friends and we split into two groups. One group was the 'station' where everyone would meet up after they're done doing whatever they'd like to do (i.e. buy food) and the other group went to join the second round of dance (we missed the first round cause we arrived late D:!). My brother was off snapping photos and video taping the dance while I stayed with his other group of friends at the 'station' carrying the food. I didn't really mind since it was fun just to soak up the atmosphere and watch little kiddies run around in their yukatas (so adorable!) I sound really easy to please eh? XD

While waiting for my brother I was busy SMS-ing away trying to direct Kash (my 'adopted elder brother' of the 'Ichigo' family) to where I was. My brother's friends chatted away and they're seriously a fun and honest bunch. Now, if only my friends were like that but NOOOOOOO~~~ they're too busy trying to remember who hates who in the group and trying to pretend that they're nice so that they're always 'one step' better than everyone else. While doing all that they find tiny tiny ways to backstab and make each other's lives more miserable. These kinda friends I'd rather not have.

Anyways, back to the Bon Odori report, after the dance ended, all of us (including the ones that went to buy food) met up at the 'station'. Then the group decided to sit down and dig into their food (Yes, I was standing the whole time I was waiting for my bro to get back from the dance carrying all that food in one hand and SMS-ing in the other). Kash was somewhere near so my brother stayed with me to try to meet up with him. It was pretty hard to look for him since there were a lot of people around but miraculously managed in the end. I'm lucky that he posted his pic up in friendster. It made it so much easier XD!

After about 5 minutes of talking to Kash, I suggested that we should get back to our friends since there's a really huge crowd and if our friends wander too far, it'll be nearly impossible to meet up with them again. Just when my brother and I got back to our group of friends, I remembered that Kash and I have yet to take a photo together! AHHHHH!!! and I was even reminding myself before we got to the stadium but I ended up forgetting. Ayane, you suck D:.

The food eating session was pretty fun. Everyone bought different things and we ended up shifting the food around trying out everyone else's food XD Most of the stuff tasted decent. Kou-chan spotted me so we chatted for a while. It took me about 5 minutes of persuading before she'd let me take a picture with her. She left after that, something about meeting her mama XD.
Just when I was looking around, I spotted a small stall near us selling glow sticks and other weird fuzzy-like thingies~! Wheee! I have a weird glow stick fetish so I ended up buying one for my brother and one for myself. My brother took the blue and I took the red (secretly, I wanted the blue more. I should've just bought two blues *bonks herself*).

I checked the time and it was about 5 to 10 minutes till the next (and last) dance so the group discussed on who's gonna stay at the 'station' to take care of our stuff and who were the ones that's gonna dance. If I'm not wrong, two of them skipped the dance and went to get Kakigouri. One dude (which I kinda pitied), took care of all our stuff and the rest of us went dancing. Even though we kinda splitted up, the group was still pretty big.

It was quite awkward when we got onto the field but we warmed up quite fast. We made a really long line together and it was really fun since the first dance had us holding hands and everything. So unified! It took us quite a while to pick up the dance and by the time we got it down, the song ends! XD WE FAIL!

So we met up again and took some group photos. When we were done, the security guards started blowing their whistles asking the guests to leave. Again with the 20 minute walk to the car! My legs could've really died but good thing they recovered really quickly as soon as we got to the car and turned on the air-cond XD Mwahahahahaha!

All in all, it was a pretty fun experience and I wouldn't mind going for another one. This isn't really one of those super-duper entertaining events but it's the kind that you can enjoy with a big group of friends (even though they're not really my friends XD). When there's no fun, make your own ;D

And now, PICTURES! *o* (will be posted later)
