Telecommuting
There are good things and bad things to telecommuting.
Good:
Bad:
I needed some granite tile for a project that I have been working on, so I was able to run over to the surplus home center and grab them at lunch. I can only get there on Saturdays when I commute the full week. I also made my last check in to the SCM at 10pm last night. Admittedly it wasn't that I worked straight through, mushmouse74 was putting C to bed and I knew what the issues that I needed to fix was so I ran down and fixed it so it made the nightly build so QA could have it today.
Good:
- Getting more done before 8am than you usually do before lunch
- Dress code is relaxed
- Schedule is relaxed
Bad:
- No gigabit connection to the servers
- Schedule is relaxed
