We all grow and construct what we need to survive. Everyone helps everyone else, generally. It's very much like back before computers did everything and cars existed. We have simple machines, but... that's really about it.

Some machines. PCDs are machines. There are occasional electric generators around, too. I know most of the northwestern part of the city has electricity because of one.

And yes, we have kitchens.
