TM 269 - Write about a time you were outsmarted.

Write about a time you were outsmarted.

Sterling had me good for a second there. I always knew he'd come back for round two. I also knew that he was my strongest opposition, because like Sophie likes to point out, he knows how I think. I've become something of a character study for him.

He had Parker and Hardison, and he knew I wasn't just going to let them twist in the wind. Unlike him, I have a little quality known as loyalty. I was willing to do anything to watch out for my team, not to mention make sure he didn't get a damn thing he wanted. Including destroy my own base of operations, eliminate all my operational funds, and get my ass kicked. Sort of.

So here we are. Out of a home, out of money, out of time, and apparently, out of luck. Our faces and names are now known by God knows how many police agencies, Sterling has the statues, and IYS is still riding high. On the face of things, we're behind on all cards. The smart thing to do is for us to scatter and lay low until it all blows over. Maybe come back with new identities.

I've been called a smart man. I've also been called obsessive. I have no intention of giving up so easily. I've come too far and I've got too much on the line.

But mostly, I just want to kick his ass. Mostly, I just want to make them pay.
