Man, this is what is going on as of the middle of the second unit of my first year:

1) Medical school is hard but it rocks. This is the first time I’ve had/wanted to try.
2) I just went to the barber and she gave me a mullet. Kind of sucks, kind of cool. (more suck)
3) Epidemiology: So many sick black people, they told me that the disparity was due to poverty when they don’t know the difference between association and mark. Biological? I hate this racial argument HATE
4) Family: parents: great (as usual); Sister: Jackson (OK) doing better and better.
5) Girlfriend: Good, Andrea started school at UoM, she is very busy and stressed so am I, stress on relationship = (we need to be big people) maturity, she is much more understanding than I am = I am an asshole
6) I study all the time, all I see is the body, but it is good
7) I am inspired about social activism. In the 20th century the major need from doctors was for environmental effects. Now, the number one killer of Americans (almost world) is lifestyle. That’s right, middle class white Americans dieing because of how they live. Ahh yes, black Americans dieing even faster because of so called economical disparity or “access to health care”. If we address it as a black problem it will remain. If we address it as a problem to our society it will be solved. The problem with YOU is the polarization of your position.
8) I just say it how it is, maybe it is blatant, but it is relavant even though it may sound obvious
9) I have a question for those who have read this far (God knows that you don’t have time to read it). What is the solution… simplified.. Occums razor.
10) Rant: Honestly really: why do we do what we do unless we think it will answer this question
11) Gimmie just a little inspiration.
