-yipyup asks: STAR OCEAN: THE LAST HOPE has an unusual high amount of remixed pieces of past STAR OCEAN (1 & 2) music. At the same time, this is one of the first tri-Ace games in a long time that does not contain a new version of "Mission to the Deep Space." What were the thoughts behind those decisions?
Development team: We wanted to preserve the feel of the scenes out of the previous titles in the series, and also we primarily selected remixes that had a deep connection with this game in some way. “Mission to the Deep Space” was a candidate, but we felt like it just didn’t fit the time period of this game. However, we made up for it by putting a lot of effort into many brand new songs.
Man, I knew I wasn't the only one who wanted to know! The remix of "Dim" that plays instead for the bonus dungeon is awesome, so all sins are forgiven. And god this game is so much more fun to play than 2 and 1 were....oops.
En II is still the best planet.
Edit: OH MY GOD YOU CAN BUY THE OST FROM S-E'S NA SITE!! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
